Requirements

  • 3+ years of prior HR experience in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • High School Diploma is required. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • Must be familiar with standard HR concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Microsoft Office, HRIS and payroll systems experience is required.
  • Excellent written/verbal/interpersonal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred
  • Experience in high growth, small or mid-size manufacturing company is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with recruiting and hiring to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants.
  • Conducts new hire orientation and oversight of onboarding process including the communication of employee benefits.
  • Provides employees and managers with information on company policies, practices, and programs.
  • Supports a culture of safety through a partnership with the Risk Management team.
  • Assists with recordkeeping and compliance activities including but not limited to data entry of employee changes and payroll activities and audits, completion of unemployment claims, workers compensation claims, and leave of absence administration.
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
  • Works in conjunction with the HR team and provides recommendations to the HR Manager.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are an essential job function due to dealing with people, time sensitive processes, and programs.
  • Creates and maintains employee files.
