About The Position

The Human Resources (HR) Specialist will assist in the administration and coordination of HR programs and processes as it relates to associate services. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of urgency, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of associate and company information. This position supports the HR Business Partner team with a wide range of activities, including HRIS data entry, file maintenance, onboarding support, and compliance related tasks. The role may require travel between the two Colorado locations in Lakewood and Littleton.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in a professional, customer-facing environment preferred.
  • Experience working with HRIS software preferred.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to act quickly and appropriately in time-sensitive situations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
  • Ability to establish workload priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to interpret and apply departmental methods and processes.
  • Strong analytical skills, including ability to resolve issues based on incomplete or evolving information.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of verbal and written information.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds, personalities, and work styles.
  • Demonstrated discretion and sound judgment in daily routines.
  • Ability to handle frequent interruptions while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Performs customer service tasks necessary within the department such as handling customer/associate complaints, problems, and requests.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with persons at all levels within the company including vendors, customers, regulatory authorities, associates, consultants, etc.
  • Protects the confidentiality of written and verbal information critical to company operations.
  • Identifies process improvements and assists in planning, coordinating, and implementing new programs or procedures.
  • Maintains professional composure when managing emergency situations and working in an environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Assists associates by answering general human resources questions.
  • Processes and inputs associate changes into the HRIS promptly and accurately.
  • Presents HR orientation programs to new and converting associates, with emphasis on benefit and onboarding requirements.
  • Administers tuition reimbursement processes and enters data into the Learning Management System.
  • Utilizes technical knowledge of the HRIS database to run reports, queries, and data reviews.
  • Assists job applicants with the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Support the HR team with unemployment claim research and processing.
