The Human Resources Specialist supports day‑to‑day HR operations for a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Reporting directly to the Site’s Human Resources Director, this role provides hands‑on support in recruitment, onboarding, training coordination, employee relations, HR compliance, and HR administrative processes. The HR Specialist helps ensure the site maintains a strong, engaged workforce while meeting all regulatory, quality, and safety requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline (e.g., Human Resources, Business Management or equivalent). Equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ of human resources experience required.
  • Strong understanding of HR fundamentals, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and HR administration.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Advanced PC skills, knowledge of company specific software packages, including HRIS.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to the pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical device, or related technical industries is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support recruitment and workforce needs for hourly and salaried roles in partnership with the Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence and site HR leadership.
  • Lead and coordinate new-hire onboarding, ensuring timely completion of GMP, safety, and HR documentation.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and processes.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant personnel files and HRIS data, including employee changes, attendance records, and reporting.
  • Administer site payroll accurately and support benefits and leave programs (FMLA, ADA, Leaves of Absence).
  • Assist with employee relations matters, including investigations, documentation, and follow-up actions as directed by site HR leadership.
  • Partner with cross-functional site teams and support continuous improvement initiatives and special HR projects.
