Position Summary: The Human Resources Specialist/Recruiter plays a critical role in supporting both talent acquisition efforts and HR administration. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate and compliant employee records, processing new hire documentation, and partnering with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, implement effective sourcing strategies, and managing the candidate pipeline. This role ensures a seamless recruitment process from candidate screening to background checks and interview scheduling, while tracking essential hiring metrics to drive efficiency.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 3-5 years of talent acquisition, recruitment, or HR experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient user of MS Office suite and experience with an HRIS system, preferably Paycom.
  • Experience with, or a strong understanding of, the importance of integrity and confidentiality when handling human resource files and records.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in HR or recruitment (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies
  • Source and screen candidates to ensure alignment with job requirements
  • Track recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire and maintain regular communication with hiring managers
  • Schedule interviews and manage the recruitment pipeline efficiently
  • Coordinate and complete background checks for potential hires
  • Maintain accurate records on job requisitions using tracking systems
  • Maintain accurate employee records in compliance with company policies and labor laws
  • Process new hire documentation and ensure onboarding files are complete and timely (including I-9 forms)
  • Support HR reporting and internal audits by keeping personnel files updated and audit-ready
  • Handle sensitive employee information with confidentiality and escalate issues appropriately
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures
  • Conduct or assist with new hire orientations, exit interviews, and employee communication initiatives
  • Support employee training by tracking participation and assisting in training program development
  • Coordinate company-wide meetings, recognition events, holiday celebrations, and retirement parties
