About The Position

Ohel is seeking a friendly, responsible, and self-motivated Human Resources Secretary to join our team. You will play a key role in overseeing staff onboarding, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for every new hire. Beyond onboarding, you will support general HR functions and provide essential administrative assistance to the HR department.

Requirements

  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Comfortable navigating Microsoft Office and a proven ability to learn new software programs.
  • Ability to work with others with patience, professionalism, and to multitask.
  • Prior HR experience is preferred, and we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • This full-time position is based in Brooklyn and offers a flexible schedule with two evenings (until 6:30 pm) per week required.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate a welcoming onboarding process, ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant, and completed prior to start dates.
  • Schedule appointments for document review and coordinate fingerprinting and background clearances.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within our HRIS and physical personnel files.
  • Provide general daily administrative assistance to the HR team as needed.
