We are currently seeking a Human Resources Operations Support Specialist for a client in the automotive industry, specializing in car manufacturing. This is a long-term Contractor role based in Greer, SC that requires onsite presence. PURPOSE: The HR Service Center Associate is a key member of the HR Service Center team at Plant Spartanburg, providing general administrative support and serving as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries. The role focuses on assisting associates with HR transactions, onboarding, and orientation, while maintaining high service standards and adherence to HR policies.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field, or 4+ years of HR work experience.
  • Experience managing confidential data and handling difficult or emotional situations.
  • Human Resources process experience preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to manage conflict.
  • Comfortable working in a customer support center environment with frequent phone communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other basic computer applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness to learn new systems and adapt to evolving technical tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years in a customer service role.
  • 2+ years using and learning various computer software and systems.
  • Experience with SAP and HR processes, including I-9 and e-verification.
  • Previous experience in a customer support or HR service center environment.
  • Spanish/English bilingual strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Respond to HR-related inquiries via phone, email, internal applications, and in-person interactions.
  • Input, track, and manage high volumes of data using SAP, case management systems, and other HR software.
  • Provide accurate guidance on HR policies, procedures, and associate programs, escalating to subject matter experts when necessary.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Scan, index, and maintain HR documents in compliance with records management standards.
  • Support onboarding and orientation processes for new associates.
  • Assist with internal programs such as Service Awards and provide data for reporting purposes.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives using emerging technologies, automation tools, and data analytics.
  • Follow and model company standards, including VPS Principles, Standard Work, 5S, and Safety guidelines.
  • Train new HR Service Center staff as needed and support team collaboration.
