About The Position

To oversee and directly implement all aspects of Human Resources functions for The Parish School (TPS) and Carruth Center (CC), including employee relations, training and development, compensation, compliance, and benefits administration. Perform all duties demonstrating consistent support of The Parish School’s mission and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
  • A minimum of three (5) years of Human Resources experience of which one (1) of those years being at management level.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Human Resources background in the education field strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with HRIS is preferred.
  • PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP designation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and supervision in the day-to-day operation of the Human Resources Office.
  • Implements all applicable personnel laws and regulations.
  • Oversees and manages of human resources system.
  • Oversees the maintenance of employees’ personnel files.
  • Oversees communication and delivery of Human Resources Policies to all employees.
  • Directs operation of employee benefits programs and ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Handles TPS/CC Benefits Administration including communicating benefits information between employees and benefits broker, and handling general benefits questions from employees.
  • Responsible for handling all areas of compliance as they relate to Human Resources.
  • Facilitate conversations with employees and managers regarding their responsibilities with compliance issues.
  • Complete, track and/or file all compliance documentation accordingly.
  • Oversees and manages employee relations and conflicts, working closely with department heads.
  • Recommend resolutions and document all incidents
  • Consults with legal counsel when appropriate and/or when directed by management regarding personnel activities or compliance issues.
  • Supports TPS/CC payroll process.
  • Communicates with Payroll Coordinator on any changes/adjustments that need to be made in payroll.
  • Coordinates performance management processes.
  • Distributes review and performance management forms to supervisors in a timely manner.
  • Advises supervisors on compliance and applicable policies.
  • Reviews performance management forms for signatures and completeness.
  • Coordinate recruitment activity with all departments.
  • Coordinate the preparation and maintenance of appropriate job descriptions.
  • Negotiates pay and offer letters.
  • Conducts and reviews all background checks.
  • Coordinates interviews with hiring manager
  • Recruits and conducts employment screenings.
  • Keep all job descriptions current.
  • Administers exit interview process; final payouts, terminates benefits, coordinates COBRA benefits, responds to unemployment insurance claims.
  • Analyzes, recommends, and coordinate training modules for managers and employees on a regular basis.
  • Designs and presents the new employee orientation/Onboarding for staff members.
  • Participates in annual faculty orientation.
  • Provides all new employees with basic school and clinic information, welcome kit, benefits information, and necessary forms.
  • Coordinate first day agenda with hiring manager
  • Maintains and periodically audits all employee personnel files.
  • Works with department heads regarding access to specific information within the personnel file.
  • Prepares and coordinates relevant budgets for inclusion in the school budget.
  • Creates and maintains a high-performance environment characterized by positive leadership and a strong team orientation.
  • Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work and operates effectively within the organizational structure.
