About The Position

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the administration and performance of the Industrial Relations program in the following areas: Policies and Procedures, Safety, Personnel Requirements, Staffing and Training. Requirements

  • Must have good written and verbal communications skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • HR experience preferred; manufacturing or warehousing industry experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and employment/labor laws
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (e.g. UKG, ADP, Paycom, Workday)
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of WSI policies and procedures
  • Final candidates must possess a solid work history, pass pre-employment background and post offer drug screen/physical.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred but not required
  • Travel may be required

Responsibilities

  • Administer and coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes, including job postings, interviews, pre-employment drug testing, physicals, backgrounds, and new hire orientation for the operation.
  • Support employee relations by responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and maintaining a positive workplace culture
  • Assist in the development, communication, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in UKG and personnel files
  • Process payroll changes, promotions, terminations, and other employee status updates
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment, changes, and open enrollment processes
  • Assist in performance management processes and documentation
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations
  • Participate in HR projects such as employee engagement, and training programs,
  • Generate HR reports and metrics as needed
  • Complete all state unemployment claims
  • Enforce company policies and procedures
  • Conduct employee meetings on a one-on-one basis periodically
  • Operates material handling equipment as required to receive, store, process orders, package and ship material
