About The Position

As an integral part of the site leadership team, the Human Resources Manager will fulfill leadership duties and provide input for strategy, direction, and continuous improvement for the plant. The HR Manager is responsible for overall leadership of the human resources function in support of all operations and support functions within the facility. This includes driving the Strategic HR Plan at the site level and defining and implementing strategic initiatives to ensure our continued success. Key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: compensation, training, employee relations, leave of absence programs, staffing, culture, engagement and building organizational capabilities. In this role you will: HR Strategy Development: Develop and execute site-specific HR strategies and goals to drive culture, compliance, and performance. HR Target Achievement: Lead efforts to meet plant-level HR objectives aligned with corporate and business group initiatives. Policy & Compliance Guidance: Advise leadership on HR policies and legal compliance to support business objectives. Talent & Performance Management: Oversee performance cycles, talent reviews, succession planning, and organizational capability assessments. Employee Engagement & Communication: Lead communication strategies, change management, and employee engagement through surveys and committees. Culture & Inclusion Advocacy: Champion inclusion, diversity, wellness, and community involvement initiatives. Compensation & Lifecycle Ownership: Manage compensation, recognition programs, and promote leadership accountability for the employee lifecycle. Talent Acquisition & Development: Guide hiring strategies, retention planning, and employee development/training compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Five (5) years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
  • Two (2) years of experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Must be able to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Able to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to influence and work effectively across all levels in a highly-matrixed environment.
  • General knowledge of federal, state, city and county employment laws and ability to apply legal concepts to real world situations.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal across a wide audience.
  • Proven ability to deal with conflict and diffuse difficult situations.
  • Focus around talent development and retention.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Human Resources or Business from an accredited institution.
  • Seven (7) years progressive experience in Human Resources.
  • Five (5) years supporting manufacturing
  • PHR or SPHR certification.
