Plan, direct, and coordinate Human Resources management activities to maximize strategic use of human capital and maintain functions such as employee compensation, recruitment, personnel policies, training, and regulatory compliance. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or four years’ experience in HR for manufacturing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS system.
  • Position is 100% at the plant.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Support current and future business needs through development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
  • Advise managers on organizational policy matters.
  • Foster positive management and employee relations by addressing concerns, complaints, and other issues.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process.
  • Manage the onboarding process, including administration of New Hire Orientation
  • Oversee recruitments, interviews, selection, and hiring process.
  • Educate and inform employees on benefits.
  • Benefits enrollment administration.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
  • Ensure State and Federal legal compliance, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.
  • Administer Workers Compensation Claims
  • Oversee and administer hourly payroll process for 300+ hourly staff.
  • Policy development and Employee Handbook writing/maintenance partnered with management.
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
