About The Position

Stafford Rosenbaum LLP is seeking a Human Resources Manager to oversee HR functions at our firm. The position is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of human resources activities and functions at Stafford Rosenbaum LLP including recruitment, hiring, training and retaining attorneys and staff. The successful candidate will maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, compensation/benefits, regulatory changes, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Responsibilities include working with our benefit broker on annual open enrollment, executing the process through our HRIS, Paylocity. Additionally, responsible for managing and executing our annual evaluation processes for staff and associates. Position works closely with practice team leaders on staffing needs, managing the recruitment process for open positions and managing onboarding of new attorneys and staff. The HR Manager provides support to the Managing Partner, Director of Administration and Board of Directors on HR items that are complex, requiring necessity to work with counsel as need be.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications or related areas or equivalent on-the-job experience
  • A minimum of three years of human resources and management experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to exercise courtesy, diplomacy and tact.
  • Ability to utilize a broad range of technology and applications including Paylocity or other HRIS, Microsoft Office Suite products and law firm specific timekeeping and document management system.
  • Travel between our two offices is required.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM or HRCI certification is desirable.
