About The Position

The HR Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the HR department, ensuring the effective implementation of HR strategies, and maintaining smooth HR processes that support the organization's overall goals. This role focuses on executing HR programs, managing employee relations, and providing ongoing support to employees and leadership to foster a positive and productive workplace environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of three years’ experience working in a Human Resources environment.

Nice To Haves

  • HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, PHR, THRP or similar credentials are a plus

Responsibilities

  • HR Program Implementation
  • Execute HR programs such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, and employee benefits to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Ensure that HR policies are consistently applied and monitor the effectiveness of HR programs.
  • Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution
  • Serve as the point of contact for day-to-day employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent treatment of employees.
  • Manage conflict resolution, providing solutions that maintain a positive work environment while adhering to Quapaw Nation values and legal standards.
  • Talent Acquisition and Onboarding
  • Manage the recruitment process, from job posting to selection, ensuring the hiring process is effective, inclusive, and aligned with the organization’s staffing needs.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the Quapaw Nation and a strong start for each employee.
  • Performance Management
  • Work with the HR Director to coordinate the performance management process, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, and annual evaluations.
  • Support managers and employees in setting clear performance expectations and facilitating feedback conversations.
  • Training and Development
  • Work with the HR Director to identify and coordinate training needs based on department and employee requirements to ensure continuous skill development.
  • Ensure that training and development programs are consistent with Quapaw Nation culture and values.
  • HR Administration and Compliance
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
  • Ensure HR operations comply with labor laws, Quapaw Nation policies, and best practices.
  • Employee Engagement and Retention
  • Monitor employee satisfaction through surveys and feedback and work on strategies to improve engagement.
  • Support retention efforts by addressing employee concerns and recognizing employee achievements.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting
  • Track HR metrics (e.g., turnover, absenteeism, performance) and prepare reports for senior leadership to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide insights based on HR data to inform decision-making.
  • Compensation and Benefits Administration
  • Support the administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive, equitable, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Advise employees on benefit options and help resolve any related issues.
  • Employee Communications
  • Communicate key HR updates, policies, and programs to employees to ensure clarity and alignment with Quapaw Nation expectations.
  • Foster an open line of communication between employees and HR, encouraging feedback and engagement.
