PURPOSE: Work in partnership with the Site Director and site functional managers to plan, lead and organize Human Resource development and strategy that is proactive, solutions focused, sensitive to employee needs but business driven. Perform Human Resource generalist functions as needed and as appropriate. Providing support for a strategic manufacturing facility operating 24/7 and employing approximately 160 manufacturing, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and SG&A staff. The Human Resources Manager role is full-time onsite position, does not offer a hybrid or remote schedule.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook as well as HRIS tools and systems (preferred: ADP Workforce Now v13 - HR & Benefits, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Success Factors (PM and Compensation Modules)
  • Effective in interpersonal communication skills
  • Solid writing, presentation, and reporting skills, especially with regard to HR metrics
  • Bachelor's degree required, masters preferred plus 5-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience encompassing full Human Resource responsibilities in a manufacturing environment or equivalent
  • HR Certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM CP/SCP) preferred
  • Proven track record in influence/change management and Human Resource Systems
  • Exposure to Lean/Six Sigma methodology and improvement processes preferred
  • Comfortable with interfacing with Site Director and functional managers on operational and strategic Human Resources matters
  • Leadership capabilities to inspire and guide the Human Resources team and influence other leaders
  • Strategic Thinking: Anticipating future Human Resources needs and aligning initiatives with long-term business goals

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the HR system to collect and maintain personnel records and activities and meet management's information needs in compliance with state and federal laws
  • Coordinate the planning, budgeting, approvals, recruitment, evaluation, and selection and orientation techniques to be used in meeting the capacity needs of the company
  • Coordinate the training and development programs for employees at all levels including company policies and procedures, and skills development required to perform job requirements
  • Analyze, recommend and implement controls for compensation programs, salaries, and employee benefits
  • Advise the operation with respect to the requirements of state and federal regulations; investigate all charges brought against the operation; negotiate and recommend settlement as appropriate
  • Provide Human Resources services and administration including benefits enrollment and assistance, engagement programs, and disciplinary matters
  • Provide counsel and advice to managers and supervisors to ensure effective management of the company's human resources
  • Develop objectives, strategies, plans, policies, and programs for the Human Resources department
  • Recommend effective, efficient organizational development plans
  • Responsible for contributing to the production f a quality product by ensuring the availability of qualified personnel through Human Resource processes; making suggestions for the improvement of those processes
  • Responsible for documentation of employee training, providing updates on performance to key performance indicators, and compiling, analyzing and reporting staffing and HR related data
  • Participate in special Human Resources projects as directed
