About The Position

The Human Resources Manager (HRM) is a hands-on HR business partner responsible for delivering people strategies in support of ADM’s AS&O and Carbohydrate Solutions organizations across North America. This role partners closely with senior leaders to strengthen leadership capability, talent pipelines, workforce planning, employee engagement, and overall organizational effectiveness. The HRM operates as a trusted advisor—bringing strong business acumen, sound judgment, and a practical approach to execution. This role balances strategic leadership consultation with hands-on delivery of core HR processes, including talent management, succession planning, learning and development, compensation planning, and employee relations. In addition to supporting assigned client groups, this role may contribute to or lead strategic people initiatives across the North America region.

  • Approximately 7+ years of progressive professional experience in Human Resources or closely related roles within a complex organization.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders, influencing decisions, and leading people-related initiatives such as talent management, workforce planning, or organizational change.
  • Solid working knowledge of core HR disciplines, including talent management, compensation, and employee relations.
  • Experience operating effectively in a matrixed, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Professional certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, CCP).

Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Partnership Serve as an HR partner for assigned AS&O and Carbohydrate Solutions leaders, providing consultation on leadership effectiveness, talent strategy, organization design, and workforce decisions.
  • Translate business strategy into people priorities that support performance, growth, and future capability needs.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and managers; influence decisions through insight, data, and judgment.
  • Talent Management & Succession Lead and facilitate talent review and succession planning processes, including identification of critical roles and development actions.
  • Assess current and future capability needs and partner with leaders to address gaps through development, hiring, or role design.
  • Support leadership development, coaching, and targeted growth plans for high-potential and key leaders.
  • Learning & Development Partner with leaders and HR Centers of Expertise to identify learning priorities and implement development solutions aligned to business needs.
  • Support onboarding and integration of new leaders and key talent.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, feedback, and growth mindset.
  • Compensation & Workforce Planning Partner with leaders, Finance, and the Rewards CoE to support annual workforce and compensation planning processes.
  • Facilitate compensation cycles, providing analysis, guidance, and recommendations consistent with ADM philosophy and policy.
  • Use workforce and talent data to inform planning, investment, and decision-making.
  • Employee Relations & Employment Law Provide guidance on employee relations matters, performance management, and corrective action.
  • Apply a strong working knowledge of U.S. employment law and ADM policies; assess risk and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Investigate and resolve employee concerns with discretion, consistency, and sound judgment.
  • Regional & Strategic Initiatives Lead or contribute to North America–wide people initiatives and strategic projects.
  • Partner with HR colleagues and Centers of Expertise to ensure alignment, consistency, and effective execution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve people processes, leadership capability, and colleague experience.
