About The Position

The Human Resources Manager – Operations is responsible for partnering with the Manufacturing Leadership team to support the development and retention of team members while helping the organization achieve Tiara’s operational goals and uphold its Corporate Values. This position oversees the day-to-day HR operational functions including employee relations, HR records management, compensation administration, HR data management, compliance, and policy administration. The role ensures HR processes are implemented consistently, maintains regulatory compliance, and provides leadership and guidance to the HR Generalist to support a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience, preferably supporting a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, HR operations, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience supporting performance management, compensation practices, and workforce development initiatives preferred.
  • Experience using HRIS systems; experience with Paycom preferred.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check, drug test, and physical examination if required.
  • Ability to work extended hours or overtime as needed to support operational demands.
  • Demonstrate commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Must follow all company policies and safety guidelines and comply with required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards within manufacturing areas (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection).
  • Must be fluent in English.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to understand strategic goals and develop HR initiatives that align with organizational and operational objectives.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Managers and Group Leaders to support performance management, workforce planning, and compensation processes.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to HR staff, including the HR Generalist, to ensure consistent and effective HR service delivery.
  • Advise managers on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, and HR best practices to ensure fair and consistent application of policies.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to employee inquiries regarding workplace policies, compensation, benefits, and development opportunities.
  • Lead efforts to strengthen employee engagement, morale, and productivity across the manufacturing operation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and employee advocate while facilitating effective conflict resolution and maintaining positive employee relations.
  • Participate in and support internal investigations related to employee complaints, workplace concerns, and policy violations.
  • Ensure consistent policy adherence, documentation, and corrective action practices across manufacturing teams.
  • Leverage HR data and analytics to identify trends and opportunities to improve engagement, performance, and retention.
  • Drive utilization and optimization of the HRIS system (Paycom) to support efficient HR processes and accurate data management.
  • Oversee HR records administration and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Collaborate with the Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager to reduce operational risk and support workplace safety initiatives.
  • Facilitate succession planning and oversee internal job transfer processes within the manufacturing organization.
  • Review, update, and ensure consistent implementation of manufacturing-related policies in the employee handbook.
  • Support effective communication strategies across the manufacturing facility to ensure employees remain informed and engaged.
  • Collaborate with Benefits Administrator to support leave management processes including FMLA, LOA, STD, and LTD.
  • Develop a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, workflows, and key operational performance metrics to effectively support business needs.
  • Provide leadership that fosters a positive, respectful, and compliant work environment.
