About The Position

SodexoMagic is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our team at Miami Dade International Airport (MIA). The Human Resources Manager will work on-site and provide HR support to the Sodexo food and beverage teams that operate the American Airlines Admirals Clubs/Lounges within the airport. Our airport lounges are dedicated spaces for passengers to relax and rejuvenate while awaiting their next adventure. For almost 20 years, we have provided top-level food, facilities management and integrated services to corporations, healthcare facilities, K-12 schools, colleges, universities and aviation lounges.

Requirements

  • Prior human resources management experience supporting an employee base of 150-300 employees
  • Seeking bilingual candidates; the ability to communicate in Spanish will assist in managing this workforce
  • Understanding of labor laws, compliance, performance management and talent acquisition
  • Strong attention to detail and leadership with a proactive mindset
  • The ability to communicate with both employees and stakeholders
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum Management Experience - 2 years Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year of HR experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within restaurants, hospitality or the travel industry strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee airport badging process for new hires
  • Support new hire orientation facilitation, set-up and logistics
  • Onboarding
  • Run compliance reports
  • Maintain and distribute employee training/communications
  • Assist with career fairs and hiring events/recruitment
  • Share employee benefits information with new hires and direct them accordingly
  • Complete I-9 forms and other employee file documentation
  • Set up employee direct deposits
  • Engage with potential candidates and represent Sodexo as an employer of choice
  • Collect union statements/corrective actions for the Senior Human Resources Manager
  • Address payroll issues
  • Function as the HR liaison between operations and senior HR (position reports to Sr. HR Manager).
