Sustainability is integral to their business. The Human Resources Leader will provide strategic HR leadership for Product Management and Engineering functions for Commercial HVAC Americas. This role involves providing thought leadership, influence, and hands-on engagement to effectively deploy human capital and achieve business results. The HR Leader will partner with key business leaders and peers to build organizational capability for these functions, supporting two Commercial HVAC Americas SLT members (VP Product Management and VP Engineering and Technology). As a member of the Commercial HVAC Americas HR Leadership team, the HR Leader will drive and execute critical HR processes such as Organizational Leadership Review, Performance Management, and Compensation. The role leverages HR to accomplish key business objectives, implement cultural change and transformational growth, and ensure the business has the necessary resource capability and bench strength for growth strategies. The successful candidate will possess strong business acumen and HR expertise, particularly in assessing and aligning organizations around key deliverables. The role maintains close partnerships with corporate HR functions like Compensation, HR Solutions, and Talent & Organizational Capability.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated “world-class” competencies in a human resources role preferably in diversified industrial or operational environment.
  • Exceptional leadership skills in organizational strategy, effective program and process execution, identifying and developing organizational capability, and change management.
  • 10+ years of experience of progressive responsibility in human resources roles in plant, commercial, and/or headquarter environments.
  • Deep understanding of business needs with global scope is essential.
  • Ability to gain confidence of the business leadership team and HR partners.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, influencing and communication skills are a must.
  • Deep experience in strategy, organizational capability, change management, business partnering and labor relations.
  • Strong academic background supported by a bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or I/O Psychology.
  • Proven ability to gain confidence from the business leadership team and HR partners.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business, financial and people related data and determine appropriate actions.

Nice To Haves

  • Meaningful experience in both manufacturing and commercial environments and be familiar with Lean methodologies.
  • Cross functional HR leadership experience across all areas of Human Resources.
  • Exposure to manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • An MBA or master’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Function as a business partner to VP Product Management and VP Engineering & Technology in developing business and organizational strategies.
  • Champion Trane Technologies business strategy and culture change – lead the transformation for the businesses.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and counsel on matters related to talent, organizational change and human capital.
  • Provide thought leadership to each functional leadership team to ensure understanding and execution of strategic plans and HR strategies.
  • Lead and direct employee engagement strategies to create a highly motivated work force and align employee actions to company goals.
  • Act as a change leader for developing and implementing strategic operating plans.
  • Partner with COEs to develop and implement “best in class” human resources processes in assessment, selection, leadership and employee development, employee engagement, labor relations, reward and recognition, communication and organizational effectiveness.
  • Partner with leaders in the assessment and selection of key talent.
  • Develop and execute an HR plan aligned with business objectives, to include organizational design, succession planning, talent management, goal alignment, and communications.
  • Advise on legal and organizational implications of company issues and challenges and present solutions.
  • Drive a culture of standard work and operational excellence across the business.
  • Lead the transformation efforts required to build organizational capability to achieve business goals.
  • Deliver maximum HR services at most efficient cost.
