Job Responsibilities: Position Overview The HR Intern will focus on specific process improvement projects that directly support the 2026 Magna Strategy and Goals.

Requirements

  • Some related experience preferred
  • The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communication, or Business.
  • Candidates should be entering their junior or senior year or enrolled in a graduate program.
  • Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven organizational skills capable of managing multiple tasks and projects.
  • Marketing skills that can translate to multiple demographics
  • Creative solutions and critical thinking ability to adapt to multiple challenges
  • Positive interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain professionalism at all times

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting and onboarding process
  • Work on creative ways to increase onboarding efficiencies
  • Process new hires through the HRIS systems
  • Create proposals on retention ideas
  • Market Magna for different demographics
  • Schedule and participate in internal and external interviews
  • Participate in orientation training
  • Present the HR slides to new hires
  • Observe production assistant/supervisor meeting on leadership development
  • Create training and presenting to the supervisor
  • Organize and execute employee gratitude wall project
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual IFTS internal audit
  • Work through the check lists and validating appropriate documentation is included in each personnel file.
  • If documentation is missing, processing the completion to maintain compliance with audit.
  • Assist with electronic file conversion
