About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our team part-time. This position is ideal for students or early-career professionals eager to gain hands-on experience in a variety of HR-related operations and administrative tasks and support the HR team in daily operations and projects. As an HR Intern, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our HR policies and procedures, while gaining insight to our company’s approach to payroll, recruiting, and employee development.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently pursuing a degree in human resources, business, psychology or a related field.
  • Relevant coursework in HR management, organizational behavior, and labor relations.
  • Familiarity with HRIS (human resources information system), ATS (applicant tracking system) and resume databases.
  • Experience as a staff assistant or similar junior HR role.
  • Familiarity with full-cycle recruiting.
  • Basic knowledge of labor legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Update internal databases with new employee information.
  • Screen resumes and application forms.
  • Post, update and remove job ads from job boards, career pages and social networks.
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation processes.
  • Prepare HR-related reports as needed.
  • Address employee queries regarding policies and benefits.
  • Review and distribute company policies in digital formats or hard copies.
  • Participate in organizing company events and career days.
  • Conduct research on HR best practices and assist in policy development.
  • Assist in paper to electronic file conversion of employee files.
  • Update company SharePoint with HR related forms and benefit information.
  • Assist with newsletter.
