About The Position

Human Resources Intern Schedule: Location: 1150 Basin Park, 1150 Pittsford-Victor Rd., Pittsford, NY 14534 What does a summer intern at Canandaigua National Bank do? Our interns experience firsthand what it is like working in the world of financial services. As a summer intern you will work side by side with our team to provide individuals, businesses, municipalities, and not-for-profit organizations with access to all the financial services they will ever need. Interns will act as a member of the team for the summer, assisting the department and helping achieve the bank’s goal – of ensuring our community thrives and grows. Throughout the summer, interns will have an opportunity to connect with each other, shadow within a branch, network with different departments, and enjoy social events. The summer culminates in a presentation to their managers and the Executive Team. This position is a paid internship/co-op for Summer 2026. Program begins Tuesday, May 26th, 2026. Human Resources Intern The Human Resource Intern will help the Human Resources and Learning & Development teams move their strategic initiatives forward. This position will have a focus on Talent Acquisition, HR analytics, and Learning Management System administration. This role will help improve the employee experience here at CNC by:

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Psychology, Sociology, Human Resources or Communications preferred.
  • Experience with data analytics strongly desired.
  • Possess strong communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Desire and comfort interacting with a wide variety of people, both internally and externally.
  • Have an interest in Human Resources and Learning & Development

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Talent Acquisition team with recruiting top talent for the bank.
  • Collect and analyze HR data metrics, with the goal of presenting in a user-friendly way.
  • Supporting administration tasks in the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Assisting with building out SharePoint (Intranet) for the HR team.
  • Updating organizational charts.
  • Developing consistent progressive discipline documentation.
  • Assist with Performance Review upgrade design and implementation.
  • Assist with internal process and procedures.
  • Participating in DEI Recruitment Committee Meetings
  • Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.
