About The Position

Located in Chanhassen, Minnesota, PMT Corporation was established in 1979 as a private company dedicated to the research and development of specialty products, devices and instruments used in the medical field. PMT Corporation is known for manufacturing and distributing high end, innovative products within the orthopedic, neurosurgery and plastic surgery markets. PMT Corporation provides future opportunities in sales, marketing and management. We have an opening for an HR Coordinator. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for executing a wide range of Personnel functions including, fielding HR-related inquiries, HR Collaboration between our 3rd-Party HR Agency and employees, recruitment and interviewing, onboarding and training coordination, along with creation and maintenance of documentation related to personnel, including but not limited to Handbook updates, policy and procedure revisions, and personnel training. The ideal candidate will be a detail/accuracy oriented, proactive, organized, and empathetic professional who can contribute to a positive and productive work environment. They will be the main point of contact for PMT with our 3rd-party human resources consulting agency, initiate and monitor training for employees and managers, and create human resource initiatives company wide. Additionally, they will create and maintain confidential and excellent relationships with all hiring managers, employment. agencies, staff and candidates. The candidate will possess strong communication skills and time management skills. This is a full-time position and is an in-office position where the candidate will be working at PMT headquarters in Chanhassen, MN 8:00am – 4:30pm, M-F.

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree in related field (Human Resources, Business Administration, etc) or equivalent experience required
  • 1-3 years recruiting/ hiring/ personnel-based experience
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System
  • Behavioral interviewing experience
  • Basic knowledge of State and Federal Employment Laws and Forms (I-9, W-f, COBRA, ADA, ACA)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Effective project management skills, with the ability to work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines
  • Attend monthly virtual meetings with 3rd-Party HR Agency to discuss ongoing events and provide updates on recent events
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be organized and efficient with dependable follow through
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Strong work ethic able to consistently exceed expectations

Responsibilities

  • Arrange and assist with onboarding for new hires, including but not limited to the completion and maintenance of I-9 documentation, benefits programs, and offer letters
  • Assist with the processing of terminations, as needed
  • Manage the full recruiting life cycle including resume reviews, phone screens, interviews, scheduling and recommending candidates, offers and negotiation
  • Hire, or assist with hiring, multiple roles in all areas and divisions of company
  • Ensure all Managers and Hiring Team Members are following the correct interviewing protocols
  • Work with all talent and staffing agencies
  • Attend any career fairs virtual or in person
  • Manage all job postings and descriptions on PMT Career Website, as well as LinkedIn and other job boards
  • Regularly meet with Managers and Supervisors to develop specific recruiting plans, and partner with them to determine staffing needs
  • Build strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and corporate departments
  • Create monthly reports on interviewing, hiring, and events related to open positions and projects
  • Act as company main point of contact with third-party human resources consulting agency, reporting any activity, discussing ongoing issues, and developing solution strategies
  • Initiate and monitor company-wide training, as needed
  • Conduct background checks, create and issue background confirmation and additional team member credentialing documents
  • Manage all human resources documentation, ensuring that files are organized and maintain required retention
  • Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files, in compliance with data privacy and quality requirements
  • Manage and support during the execution of all disciplinary actions within company, including but not limited to Verbal Warnings, Written Warnings, Performance Improvement Plans, and Terminations.
  • Complete required documentation and submissions to third-party human resources consulting agency following any events or actions.
  • Support Managers and Employees with PTO, Holiday, FMLA, Bereavement, and Benefits inquiries
  • Complete regular check-in communications with all Supervisors and Managers, reviewing any personnel or process issues, and developing solutions to address
  • Consistently review and update company documents, including but not limited to Standard Operating Procedures, HR Forms, Employee Handbook, etc, per Company, State, and National policies and expectations
  • Complete sign-offs and trainings for company documents and policy updates
  • Complete regular reviews of HR posters and communications throughout company spaces
  • Assist with employee performance reviews, ensuring completion and accuracy within the designated timeline for each employee
  • Provide superior customer service internally to all new and existing employees
  • Keep up to date and knowledgeable regarding company benefits and operations
