About The Position

We’re looking for a game changer Human Resources professional to work closely with the Head of Human Resources to bring innovative ideas to Piermont Bank as we take care of our most valuable asset, our employees. This Human Resources role is responsible for providing comprehensive support guidance in the day-to-day operations of human resources, including general administration. the recruitment processes, employee benefits administration, onboarding and offboarding, employee engagement, payroll support, and overall general administration.

Requirements

  • At least five years of previous applicable experience in Human Resources.
  • Experience in Banking or Financial Services is required.
  • Proven experience in employee engagement, employee relations, and payroll administration.
  • Understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Experience using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Working knowledge of employment law.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and collaborative skills.
  • Outstanding time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Administer the biweekly payroll while ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees, compliant with applicable laws and regulations. Provide oversight for employee benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, disability benefits, and other voluntary benefits.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding: Be the first point of contact and knowledge base for all during their employee life cycle from onboarding to offboarding. Kick off the background search and manage through completion. Thoughtful planning and conducting of new hire orientation sessions to introduce new hires to the Bank's people, policies, procedures, systems, and space. Manage the completion of new hire paperwork and facilitate the integration into the Bank. Ensure the offboarding and exit stages are completed in a smooth manner.
  • Performance Management: Oversee the new hire touchpoints (30, 60, 90, 180), as well as the midyear, annual, and other ad hoc reviews for the entire employee population. Identify opportunities to enhance performance management processes, tools, and methodologies. Support the Head of Human Resources and Managers in delivering feedback to employees on their performance. Provide guidance and resources for performance improvement plans and development initiatives.
  • General HR Administration: Maintain employee records and prepare HR metrics and basic analytics to predict and respond to trends. Assist with vendor due diligence and audits of payroll, benefits and other Human Resources programs and vendors. Other duties as assigned.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as an additional point of contact for addressing employee relations issues, grievances, and conflicts. Supply ideas on how to mediate disputes between employees, managers, or departments to promote constructive resolutions.
  • Employee Engagement and Experience: Implement initiatives to improve employee satisfaction, morale, and retention while ensuring our mission and vision statements resonate and are reflected on a daily basis. Oversee recognition and awards platforms to appreciate and motivate. Generate ideas for career development opportunities for our valued employees to learn, grow, and advance through training, mentorship, and clear career paths. Act as Work-life balance and Wellness ambassador by prioritizing employee health and wellbeing promoting a healthy workplace environment.
