About The Position

The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department which includes addressing employee relations matters, assisting with compensation and benefits, and leave administration. You will ensure compliance with company policies and practices and maintain our HRIS system.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred or other combination of education and experience.
  • At least 2 years of human resource management experience required.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment law including HR technical knowledge of EEO, AA, FMLA, ADA, unemployment, and worker’s compensation, investigation processes, compensation practices, and benefit program
  • Proficiency with HRIS’s (Workforce Now, ADP) preferred

  • SHRM or HRCI certification, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
  • Oversee all employee benefit programs to ensure they are properly administered and compliant
  • Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters
  • Responds to all employee questions pertaining to health and benefit plans and enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly
  • Manages leave of absence requests and all other leave programs
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
