About The Position

Our work helps food companies identify potential contamination before it impacts their products-ensuring safety, quality, and consumer trust. As an HR Generalist, you'll play a key role in supporting the people and processes that make this mission possible. You'll support the daily operations of the HR department, with a focus on talent acquisition, onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and HRIS management. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on, collaborative HR environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience, including talent acquisition and payroll; multi-state and Canadian experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems-ADP Workforce Now and/or Ceridian Dayforce/PowerPay strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and adaptable approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid or remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Payroll and Reporting Specialist to ensure accuracy in payroll, reporting, compliance, and data management (HRIS, personnel records, SOPs).
  • Lead and support talent acquisition efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and onboarding.
  • Administer health and welfare benefit programs, including renewals, changes, communications, and billing reconciliation.
  • Serve as a resource for employee questions related to benefits, policies, and employment matters.
  • Track and document compliance with required training and certifications.
  • Collaborate with managers to maintain accurate job descriptions and support staffing needs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; recommend updates to policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and update company-wide intranet content.
  • Stay current on HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
  • Experience supporting responsibilities in Canada, including familiarity with provincial employment standards and practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
