About The Position

Value Added Distributors is seeking a full-time Human Resources Generalist in De Pere, WI. This role requires sound judgment, strong communication, and a practical approach to HR support within a busy operation. The Generalist will partner closely with the head of human resources to manage recruiting efforts, employee relations, compliance activities, onboarding, training, performance management, and recognition programs. They will serve as a trusted point of contact for team members, conduct internal investigations, deliver training, and help implement HR policies that align with legal requirements and company standards. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent degree
  • A valid Driver's License and a clean driving record
  • 21+ years of age
  • An advanced degree in business, Human Resources, and/or 2 + years of equivalent experience
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint) skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of employment law and compliance for risk management
  • A desire to learn and apply new knowledge
  • Ability to type 35+ wpm
  • Ability to foster mutually beneficial relationships
  • Ability to build trust and provide timely communications within the team
  • Ability to balance competing priorities, working with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
  • Ability to design and conduct in-person, virtual, and/or online learning
  • Ability to coach leaders through difficult conversations

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or PHR certification
