About The Position

The HR Generalist collaborates effectively with both the administrative team and hiring managers, demonstrating discretion and upholding confidentiality at all times. This position is responsible for administrating HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, policy implementation, employee record keeping, administration of mandated training, and additional duties for teams locally and internationally. Exceptional professionalism and communication skills are required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and training
  • 3+ years’ professional HR experience, specifically in recruiting, health and welfare benefits coordination
  • Experience using an Human Resource Information System (HRIS), Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other HR systems
  • Experience navigating benefit carrier sites for updates and billing access
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements (State, Federal, OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, FEHA, DOL)
  • Self-motivated with ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines with minimal supervision
  • The position requires someone who is personable, dependable, and responsible, with excellent organizational as well as verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS office, calendaring, and online meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams, WebEx, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates recruiting and onboarding efforts
  • Assists in the implementation and administration of new company policies, procedures, benefits, and employment regulations
  • Distributes Human Resource information to employees via email, messaging, one-on-one discussions, and group meetings
  • Manages and creates all Personnel Change Forms and employee letters, entering approved actions in HRIS system
  • Updates organization chart
  • Coordinates and provides exit paperwork and survey to departing employees
  • Administers HR Trainings
  • Maintains required State and Federal postings
  • Creates and maintains the Job Description file
  • Conducts employment verifications
  • Conducts new employee orientation, explaining company’s benefits, time and attendance, payroll, and other onboarding materials
  • Performs HR administrative duties for purchasing (creating requisitions, completing expense reports, etc.)
  • Coordinates and submits required reporting (ACA, EEO-1, CMS, etc.)
  • Maintains employee personnel records saving all documents according to compliance and filing convention
  • Plans and coordinates employee and leadership events
  • Creates and distributes monthly company newsletter
  • Updates internal company Employee Resources folder
  • Escalates issues and communication as appropriate
  • Collaborates with all departments as internal customers as needed
  • Backs up the Director of Human Resources for full department coverage
