The role of the Human Resources Generalist is to support and help drive the People Initiative of the company. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams.
  • 2+ years experience in a manufacturing human resource environment.
  • HRIS experience, preferably Paylocity.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Effective organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Recruits, pre-screens, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Assists in developing and implementing onboarding and orientation programs including pre-employment requirements.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to: Performance Management, Workforce Planning, Learning and Development, Employee Relations, and Employee Engagement.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • Administers FMLA process, tracks usage, and maintains recordkeeping for compliance and attendance system.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Plays a key role in employee engagement initiatives; planning, reviewing, implementing, and sustaining.
  • Assist HR Manager in maintaining performance management system.
  • Be the owner of attendance policy involving tracking all attendance occurrences with accuracy. Working closely with leaders on attendance issues.
  • Lead the change of creating a culture of diversity, equality, and inclusion through initiatives and buy-in from leadership.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
