These team members keep the business running, manage payroll and benefits offerings, ensure deliverables are high quality, hire and train employees, market our services, streamline business processes, and much more. Corporate Operations departments include Administrative Services, Business Development, Document Production Center, Finance, Human Resources, IT, and Marketing. Your Opportunity with ECG: Human Resources Generalist We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist with deep operational expertise to play a critical role in strengthening the infrastructure of a growing healthcare consulting firm. This position sits at the center of our people operations engine, ensuring that the systems, processes, and compliance frameworks that support our consultants are accurate, scalable, and built for growth. In a fast-paced consulting environment where head count shifts, promotions accelerate, and multistate compliance requirements evolve constantly, this role brings discipline, structure, and insight. You will optimize the core HR processes that power the employee life cycle. Your work will directly support leadership decision-making, reduce organizational risk, and elevate the overall employee experience. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related degree from an accredited university
  • 5+ years of progressive human resources experience with significant focus on HR operations that required confidentiality, tact, and responsiveness
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and other applicable regulations
  • Experience preparing compliance filings (Form 5500, ACA 1094/1095, etc.) and managing benefits audits
  • Experience in multistate compliance and employment law
  • Proficiency in HRIS, ADP preferred, and benefits administration systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data management
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex benefits concepts in clear, accessible language
  • Proven vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multistate environment

  • Experience in healthcare consulting or professional services preferred

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the administration of the firm’s benefits programs—including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement plan, wellness programs, and voluntary benefits
  • Leading and coordinating the annual open enrollment cycle, including employee communications and vendor partnerships
  • Supporting the analysis of benefits utilization trends to ensure offerings remain competitive and cost‑effective
  • Serving as the primary escalation for benefits inquiries and employee support
  • Developing and maintaining a familiarity with onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Facilitating benefits overview for all new hires
  • Supporting employee relations by providing benefits guidance, policy interpretation, and documentation support
  • Supporting the implementation of HR policies, programs, and initiatives
  • Overseeing key employee programs, including wellness efforts, tuition reimbursement, and other employee initiatives
  • Maintaining and updating the HR SharePoint site to ensure accurate, current information related to benefits, policies, and employee resources
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations, including ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and relevant state‑specific requirements
  • Preparing required filings such as Form 5500, ACA 1094/1095, and required plan notices
  • Conducting periodic audits of HR and benefits data to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Maintaining awareness of regulatory changes and providing recommendations to update policies and processes
  • Supporting HRIS data integrity, benefits configuration updates, and reporting
  • Preparing HR and benefits reports and supporting data accuracy and reporting needs
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, enhancing employee self‑service tools, and improving overall HR operational efficiency
  • Partnering with brokers, carriers, and external HR vendors, ensuring service quality and timely issue resolution
  • Supporting vendor renewals, benchmarking, and plan review activities
