About The Position

Human Resource Generalist General Summary: The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for assuring the proper, fair treatment of employees including the completion of such tasks as recruiting, onboarding, orientation, record keeping, effective managing of employee relations, benefits administration, and also assists in helping the Agency deal with the workforce in ways that enhance morale and productivity. The Human Resource Generalist implements and utilizes practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. Additionally, the Human Resource Generalist assists and advises Company Executives and Managers about HR issues. Patient Population: N/A Essential Functions: Conduct Onboarding for new hires. Enter new hire information, pay rate changes, and separation information for all Agency employees via Company Payroll system. Support company-wide initiatives, such as performance review and appraisal process, merit increase process, and strategic HR initiatives, etc. Assist with non-clinical orientation and education of employees. Compilation, maintenance, and protection of employee files in a manner that is survey and accreditation ready. Work in tandem with the Business Office Manager to maintain expiration items for all Agency employees. Serve as a liaison between employees and management. Assist with implementation and administration of Agency benefit programs including Workers Compensation and Unemployment. Assist with any questions relating to benefit programs or process from the local level. Adhere to all State, Federal, and other regulatory guidelines, as it relates to Human Resources, and ensures that employees are made aware of such information. 11.Will manage FMLA and Leave matters within the local offices. Manage all paperwork upon termination of employees according to Agency policies. Conduct and participate in training for Managers regarding legal and Human Resources issues, including but not limited to, terminations, hiring, and other practices that should be in place. Assist Managers with proper counseling of employees on employee relations issues and problems. Participate in Management and Company staff meetings and attends related meetings and seminars as requested. Comply with HIPAA privacy regulations and always maintains confidentiality. Requirements

  • Two years, Human Resource experience.
  • One-year Home Health experience.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all segments of the staff, and the Agency leadership team.
  • Shall be able to read, write and comprehend English.
  • Knowledge of office machines preferred.
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • High School Graduate
  • College Associates degree or higher
  • Current driver’s license in good standing. It is the responsibility of the employee to renew their driver’s license before it expires in order to continue employment.
  • Prolonged sitting and standing required.
  • Occasional need to lift, pull, carry and push items weighing up to twenty pounds.
  • Frequent need to stoop, kneel and reach while accessing files.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner at all times.
  • Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and Agency needs.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and extended hours, as needed.
  • Ability to travel to Agency offices.
  • Some exposure to unpleasant weather.
