Position Overview The Human Resources Generalist supports the firm’s people initiatives and daily HR operations by partnering closely with the HR Manager and firm leadership. This role is actively involved in recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, HR systems, and benefits support while helping ensure a positive, compliant, and well-supported employee experience. This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility and operates under the direction of the HR Manager. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys variety, collaborative work, and hands-on involvement across multiple areas of human resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and interpersonal abilities
  • Professional, approachable demeanor with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • 2–4 years of experience in HR, recruiting, or a related field
  • Experience using HRIS and applicant tracking systems
  • Exposure to benefits administration and/or payroll support
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification
  • Experience in professional services or public accounting

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate full-cycle recruiting activities including job postings, applicant tracking, interview screening and scheduling, as well as offer letter preparation
  • Support development and maintenance of candidate pipelines for experienced hires and campus recruiting
  • Build and maintain relationships with university career centers, faculty, and student organizations
  • Participate in job fairs, recruiting events, and annual recruiting assessments in partnership with the HR Manager
  • Coordinate and administer the internship program lifecycle from recruitment through program completion
  • Support intern orientation, engagement activities, performance evaluations, stay interviews, and exit interviews
  • Assist with planning professional development sessions and firm exposure opportunities for interns
  • Administer HRIS transactions including onboarding, promotions, compensation changes, and separations
  • Maintain accurate employee data across HR and timekeeping systems
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee HR questions, escalating issues as appropriate
  • Assist with employee orientation programs and performance review cycle administration
  • Support annual compensation review and planning processes
  • Assist with benefits administration including open enrollment coordination, leave tracking, and employee education
  • Support payroll preparation activities including earnings, deductions, and tax setup
  • Assist with benefits and compensation compliance-related tasks
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, wellness programs, and recognition activities
  • Assist with firm events, employee communications, and professional development programs
  • Support cross-functional initiatives including branding activities, administrative coordination, and licensing tracking as needed
