We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment and enjoys partnering closely with leaders and employees to support business goals. The Human Resources Generalist administers key HR and workforce management functions, including recruiting, employee relations, health and safety, compensation, benefits, training, employee engagement, leave and attendance tracking, payroll, and personnel records. This role serves as a trusted partner to a site leadership and employees, ensuring consistent policy application, compliance with employment laws, and a positive work culture.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years Human Resource Generalist experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or human resources.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices
  • Experience managing employee leaves including FMLA, ADA, and related programs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office.

  • Preferred professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)

Responsibilities

  • Participate in workforce planning and talent acquisition.
  • Manage the hiring process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Administer human resource plans and procedures and assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies.
  • Communicate and support organizational policies, programs, and initiatives.
  • Address employee concerns, conduct investigations, and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Review, correct, and finalize payroll for assigned worksite.
  • Assist with benefits enrollment, benefits inquiries, and compensation-related questions.
  • Maintains accurate personnel records in HRIS and ensures timely processing of personnel actions and updates.
  • Prepare and analyze reports and key metrics related to workforce trends and HR performance.
  • Provide guidance to managers on employee relations matters, corrective actions, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
  • Develop and deliver training for both hourly and management.
  • Support leave management and personnel actions in compliance with applicable laws and regulations including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, PWFA, OSHA, USERRA, WARN, and worker’s compensation.
  • Participate in cross-functional HR and operational projects and initiatives.
