About The Position

Position Summary: Our Human Resources Generalist oversees all human resources functions for a multi-entity organization. This role is responsible for end-to-end HR operations including compliance, payroll, benefits, employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, performance reviews, and leave administration. The ideal candidate is experienced, self-directed, and comfortable owning HR functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent working experience
  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience, experience as a standalone HR professional preferred
  • Hands-on experience with multistate payroll and employment law compliance preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of FMLA, wage and hour laws, benefits administration, and employee relations
  • Ability to manage sensitive matters with discretion and sound judgment
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience supporting multi-entity or private-equity-backed organizations preferred
  • Manufacturing and operational environment experience preferred
  • Experience with ADP Workforce preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact for all HR matters for five affiliated companies
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple states
  • Administer multistate payroll, including wage and hour compliance, deductions, garnishments, and child support orders
  • Manage 401(k) and benefits administration, COBRA, open enrollment, and vendor relationships
  • Administer employee leave programs including FMLA, state leave laws, ADA accommodations, workers’ compensation, and disability programs
  • Oversee employment verifications, unemployment claims, audits, and regulatory inquiries
  • Manage employee relations, investigations, progressive disciplinary actions, and terminations
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and new-hire orientation
  • Maintain HRIS, payroll systems, personnel files, and other required recordkeeping
  • Support and advise leadership on performance management, company policies, and risk mitigation
  • Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures
  • All other tasks as assigned
