Summary: The Human Resources Generalist will assist with all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, record keeping, employee relations, and compliance. This role supports the leadership team in fostering a positive and constructive work culture and ensures HR policies are implemented effectively. This role is responsible for maintaining confidentiality throughout a wide range of situations. This position will begin as part-time, but will have opportunities that could develop into a full-time roll. Principle Duties & Responsibilities: Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist with job postings, interviews, background checks, and job offers. Support the onboarding process for new hires. Maintain up-to-date, compliant job descriptions. Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns. Promote open communication and a supportive work environment. Head employee engagement efforts. Conduct performance evaluations, performance corrections, pulse surveys, and other employee communication. Assist with benefit eligibility, 401k processing, and open enrollment. HRIS & Payroll Support: Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system. Assist with HRIS troubleshooting and system communications. Assist with payroll process on a bi-weekly schedule in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Address and promptly resolve any payroll discrepancies or employee compensation concerns. Training & Development: Help coordinate professional development and continued education opportunities. Support managers in coaching and developing their teams. Compliance & Policy Support: Stay informed on labor laws and assist in ensuring compliance. Support HR policy updates and implementation. Assist with the annual HR budget process. May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.
