About The Position

Maryville Academy is seeking a full time Human Resources Generalist to join their team The Human Resources Generalist will provide expertise and support across all HR functions including recruitment benefits administration talent management payroll leave management and data analysis This individual must have a comprehensive understanding of HR functions and be capable of offering creative solutions to complex issues while effectively communicating with employees at all levels

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in human resources Business Administration or related field; significant recruiting experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of four 4 years of HR experience in a Business Partner or Generalist role or 2 years with a masters degree in Human Resources
  • Customer focused with strong relationship building skills and business acumen
  • Experience with ADP Workforce preferred
  • Commitment to the mission and objectives of Maryville Academy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
  • Understanding of HR department functions and interrelationships
  • Ability to sit stand bend stoop walk and liftmove objects weighing over 20 pounds
  • Visual hearing and learning capabilities sufficient to perform job functions

Nice To Haves

  • PHR SPHR or SHRM certifications preferred
  • Non profit HR experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on HR practices policies legislation and regulatory requirements to employees and leaders
  • Collaborate with business leaders to advise on recruitment performance management employee engagement compensation and organizational effectiveness
  • Analyze data to support decision making based on HR metrics and trends
  • Assist in talent acquisition onboarding compensation and benefits and organization development
  • Complete compliance reports and support audits as required
  • Mentor and provide leadership to other HR team members
  • Undertake additional HR tasks as needed and assigned
