About The Position

This position is responsible for working with all Human Resources issues including recruitment, staffing, staff relations, orientation and development, compensation, and benefits. Develops and recommends human resources practices and procedures that assist in the growth of the facility. Ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations. Participates in activities for improving organizational performance. This role is a full time - in-office position.

Requirements

  • Skill, Knowledge and Abilities: Strong background in Human Resources. Strong verbal and written skills. At least 2 year’s experience in Human Resources. Proven track record in managing the human resources function.
  • Education: Associate Degree in Human Resources or related field or consideration of work history will be evaluated.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience required. Master degree in HR, Administration and Planning in a healthcare field or Business Administration may be substituted for one year’s experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with other Human Resource direct reports, Facility Administrative Officers and on-call designees, for HR programs, policies and issues.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures for recruitment.
  • Participates in and coordinates recruiting, interviewing, testing, and screening of the facility's professional and non-professional applicants.
  • Ensures recruitment, hiring, promotions, transfers, and terminations meet federal, state and local laws and regulations.
  • Analyzes relevant market factors, including compensation packages, shift differentials, and sign-on bonuses.
  • Work with administration to determine salaries, compensation issues and other human resource policies and procedures.
  • Assists CEO in formulating a budget that is cost-effective for Human Resources Department.
  • Maintains thorough documentation.
  • Uses accurate, clear and concise oral and written communication.
  • Expresses excellent judgment, discretion and decision making abilities.
  • Maintains a sensitive, fair and impartial approach to dealing with employees.
  • Assumes the responsibility for successfully complying with federal, state and local employment laws, Immigration legislation and Affirmative Action goals.
  • Consults with all levels of administration including legal counsel, community and governmental representatives.
  • Attends facility meetings, prepares reports and analyzes and provides recommendations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Interacts with department directors/managers on a wide range of staff performance issues, evaluations, merit recommendations and disciplinary actions.
  • Reviews all terminations and written disciplinary actions before they are carried out to ensure that they meet the facility's policies and procedures.
  • Mediates conflicts between employees and management to resolve misunderstandings, facilitates communication to promote effective working relationships.
  • Reviews and approves leaves of absence requests; reviews part-time schedule requests.
  • Role models patient/staff safe practices with regards to facility office access.
