About The Position

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist will be responsible for managing and executing all aspects of Human Resources at Hair Saloon, including compliance, employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management. This is a standalone role that provides both strategic and hands-on HR support to the corporate office and to franchise operations. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of generalist-level HR experience and a strong understanding of HR practices within a franchise environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR Generalist experience with proven ability to manage multiple HR functions independently.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and policy development.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build trust and credibility with employees, managers, and franchise partners.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent HR certification.
  • Prior HR experience supporting a franchise system or multi-unit organization.
  • Experience advising franchise owners/operators on HR compliance and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR resource for the organization, supporting both corporate staff and franchise partners.
  • Oversee administration of employee benefits, compensation, and leave management.
  • Provide guidance to leaders and employees on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and compliance practices that align with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Support franchise owners/operators with HR-related needs.
  • Partner with leadership to identify and implement HR strategies that align with business goals.
  • Maintain HR records and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and cultural steward, ensuring HR practices reflect Hair Saloon’s values and standards.
