Trystar’s team members are our most important asset, and we are in search of a Human Resources Generalist based at our Houston office. Reporting to the Sr. HR Manager, the Generalist will support the implementation and evaluation of employee programs, recommending improvements for employee relations, and making sure that policies in each department align with our company goals. The HR Generalist will be able to support activities to reduce employee turnover and to attract top talent to fill open positions. Our Houston site is composed of manufacturing operations and office setting with multiple functions. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Exhibit high level of professional conduct, integrity, and accountability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR Management Systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s in Human Resources, MBA (HR Track), Master’s in Industrial and Labor Relations.
  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exhibit strong initiative and resourcefulness.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining close attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and HR Management Systems.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish).

Responsibilities

  • Assist Sr. HR Manager and onsite Operations in communicating and applying company and HR policies and procedures.
  • Perform the full life cycle of recruiting activities for onsite hourly production employees, including sourcing and screening applicants, maintaining recruiting systems, drafting offer letters, orientation, onboarding, and providing follow-through with candidates.
  • Assist with performance evaluation process and new hire follow-up meetings.
  • Help manage and update job descriptions for the site; assist in classifying positions as needed.
  • Participate in the proper administration of annual performance reviews and merit increase cycle.
  • Assist with discipline procedures and the termination process to ensure all employees are treated fairly.
  • Help to organize staff training sessions, workshops, and other activities as needed.
  • Partner with Sr. HR Manager to effectively respond to any benefits related concerns.
  • Support in successfully maintaining employee records (i.e., new hire, termination, change of status).
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters.
  • Support resolution of employee relations issues and conduct investigations related to hourly production employees.
  • Support and assist with employee engagement activities.
  • Various HR Projects as needed.
