About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist reports to the HR Manager and is located in Oklahoma City, OK. This position is responsible for all Generalist functions within the Oklahoma City, OK and Mansfield, Texas plant value streams, to include recruiting, employee relations, compensation administration, benefits administration, and compliance.

Requirements

  • On-Site position located in Oklahoma City, OK. Occasional travel to company sites as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent years of relevant experience) required.
  • 4+ years of progressive, professional level experience in Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures of Human Resource Management.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment law including HR technical knowledge of EEO, FMLA, ADA, unemployment, worker’s compensation, investigation processes, compensation practices, benefit programs, and recruitment processes.
  • Strong computer skills and literacy with experience managing various Human Resource Management Systems.
  • Self-disciplined, taking pride in managing self to deliver agreed objectives.
  • Must have a strong sense of urgency and be able to multi-task and drive change.
  • A flexible approach and an ability to change direction with minimum disruption to others.
  • Personable, able to develop strong working relationships.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to manage time effectively and work autonomously, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong listening and communication skills with the ability to communicate calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment (if entering designated manufacturing areas) – safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • Must reside in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the recruitment process of sourcing, attracting, and onboarding for manufacturing positions.
  • Coordinate and organize interviews, verification of employment, background checks, and offer letters.
  • Play a vital role in realizing the corporate commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Develop and improve diversity representation by providing a rich pool of diverse talent for all openings within the organization.
  • Assist HR Manager with drafting and implementing policies and procedures as needed.
  • Provide guidance on HR company policies/procedures, compensation and benefits issues, and general HR processes to employees and supervisors.
  • Provides employee relations support for needs such as organizational development, performance management, coaching/counseling, and separations.
  • Conduct employee investigations, make recommendations and conclusions, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.
  • Administer various human resource related programs, including employee wellness initiatives, conducting exit interviews, and various retention programs plant-wide.
  • Administration of the FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, and other Company Leave Policies.
  • Assist with coordinating employee events.
  • Review and process time clock hours and send to payroll for processing.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Escalates issues of particular concern to the HR Manager.
  • Perform general office and administrative duties, including employee file maintenance. Facilitate New Hire Orientation.
  • Support the safety program.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet departmental and Company objectives.
