About The Position

The HR Generalist supports FVMT across key human resources functions, including talent acquisition, safety, and employee engagement. This role serves as a point of contact for HR-related matters and contributes to fostering a positive work environment. The position requires the ability to follow direction while proactively offering recommendations, with equal emphasis placed on individual effectiveness and collaborative teamwork.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or related field with at least two (2) or more years of Coordinator or Generalist experience. Or an Associate Degree with four (4) years human resources experience or in lieu of either above mentioned degree.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute performance-based solutions is required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills at various levels within an organization is required.
  • Solid recruitment and interviewing experience.
  • Proven experience in analyzing information and providing deductive reasoning; necessary to be able to utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle significant amount of confidential information.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated sound organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and follow through on verbal instructions is required.
  • Ability to work as a team both within the department and partnering with operations to achieve Company goals.
  • Ability to build appropriate rapport, listen, and develop constructive and effective working relationships using diplomacy and tact.
  • Ability to handle fluctuating demands and multiple tasks.
  • Must have solid proficiency in MS Office programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Previous Human Resources experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate full-cycle recruitment and onboarding processes, including posting open positions through a variety of sourcing channels and utilizing temporary or contract-to-hire services as needed.
  • Ensure recruitment processes, policies, and standards are applied consistently across the organization.
  • Source, interview, and evaluate candidates; lead and coordinate the interview team throughout the selection process.
  • Represent the organization at job fairs and recruitment events as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date applicant tracking records.
  • Process and manage new-hire documentation, onboarding activities, and training.
  • Assist in the administration and support of safety programs and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant safety files and records.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge to support FVMT’s continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
  • Coordinate, lead, and support employee engagement activities.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment to complete assigned HR projects.
  • Communicate clearly and resolve issues in a professional and constructive manner.
  • Organize and manage daily work activities independently to meet deadlines and priorities.
  • Assist with the planning and completion of HR projects as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the HR Manager.
