About The Position

HyPro is looking for an energetic people person to join our Human Resources and Safety Team.

Requirements

• Human Resources experience/background (preferred 2-5+ years’ experience)
• Strong organization and time management/project management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated skills in employee relations with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exhibits sound judgment and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential situations and information
• Possess a committed work ethic that values punctuality and attendance
• Ability to work night and weekend hours on rare occasions
• Knowledge of company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards a plus
• Ability to conduct training

Responsibilities

• Oversees recruitment, hiring and staffing efforts
• Process’s new hire paperwork, conducts employee onboarding and pre-employment screening
• Identify and resolve compensation and benefits issues
• Supports processes, such as FMLA/LOA and Workers Compensation
• Help coordinate and execute company functions
• Answers and responds to phone calls and e-mail inquiries
• Onsite plant safety coordinator responsible for promoting safety
• Administer employee reimbursement-based benefits programs
• Regularly engages and interacts with employees on the plant floor through frequent “Shop Walks”
• Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of safety programs in the plant
• Responsible for purchasing card used to buy office and event supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned
