About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist I provides mid-level, comprehensive HR support by managing day to day operations, including benefits administration, recruitment, employee relations and compliance with federal/state laws.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred.
1 to 2 years of related HR experience required.
Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite and technology.
Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
Adaptability and a resourceful attitude.
Must be available to work after hours and weekends as required by management.

Responsibilities

Provides administrative support to the Chief Human Resources Officer.
Manage job postings, screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate orientation for new hires.
Assist with benefits enrollment, answer questions about insurance or leave (FMLA, ADA).
Act as primary point of contact for employee inquires, address workplace concerns, and assist in conflict resolution or investigations.
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws and maintain accurate employee records.
Maintain and update data in Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
Provides relevant, timely, and accurate reporting of information to the CHRO as requested or required.
Coordinate training sessions and assist in performance appraisal cycles.
Conducts exit interviews and assist with internal employee surveys.
Act as lead for employee engagement initiatives.
All other task as needed.
