The Human Resources Director serves as Glynn County’s chief steward of people strategy and workforce development. This executive leader manages all human resources functions—including recruitment, benefits, compensation, performance management, training, safety, risk management, employee relations, and HR policy development. The Director provides insight and strategic HR counsel to the County Administrator, the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, the Board of Commissioners, leadership teams, and department heads. This role shapes policies, drives modernization, and ensures consistent, compliant, and service -focused HR practices throughout the organization. The Director supervises HR staff, oversees department budgeting, leads the development and implementation of HR systems, and manages relationships with benefits providers, vendors, consultants, and community partners.
