About The Position

The HR Director provides strategic leadership and oversight of the Human Resources function, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for workforce strategy, organizational development, compliance oversight, and executive partnership. The HR Director ensures that HR operates as a strategic business partner while maintaining a strong foundation of compliance, accountability, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field required.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in managing multiple HR disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with executive leadership.
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Leadership and decision-making.
  • Risk assessment and compliance expertise.
  • Communication and executive presence.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 365, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to pass a background and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or related certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience in multi-state operations preferred.
  • Experience in union and/or federal contracting environments.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Partner with executive leadership on workforce planning and organizational design.
  • Lead initiatives related to culture, engagement, and retention.
  • Advise leadership on risk, compliance, and employee relations matters.
  • Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure organizational compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Provide oversight of HR policies, procedures, and audits.
  • Mitigate risk through proactive HR practices and leadership guidance.
  • Oversee compliance areas including benefits, wage and hour, and employee relations.
  • Organizational Development
  • Lead performance management strategy and leadership development initiatives.
  • Support succession planning and talent development.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness and change management efforts.
  • Department Leadership
  • Provide direction and oversight to HR Manager, HRIS Manager, and Benefits Manager.
  • Establish clear accountability across HR functions.
  • Develop and manage HR budget and resource planning.
  • Ensure alignment and collaboration across all HR disciplines
