About The Position

Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA) is a leader in aviation safety and aircraft regulation with a highly skilled workforce in Bermuda, and across the globe. Our team consists of passionate and motivated individuals covering a variety of business roles. The Human Resources Director is responsible for aligning HR policies, programs and initiative with business strategy while adhering to legislative and collective agreement requirements. The overarching aim of this role is to ensure that HR adequately supports the people management functions of the Authority to achieve and maintain a high-performance culture that emphasizes development, empowerment, collaboration, customer focus, quality, productivity, standards, and accountability. Reporting to the Director General, he/she will be a member of the senior management team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and/or professional HR accreditation (PHR, SPHR, or CHRP preferred).
Minimum 10 years of progressive HR and/or organizational leadership experience, with proven strategic impact and prior supervisory management experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams across HR, training, and operations.
Strong knowledge of Bermuda employment law, immigration, and compliance frameworks, including PIPA. Prior experience in unionized environment is advantageous.
Proven record of shaping organisational culture, workforce strategies, and stakeholder engagement.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours including weekends and evenings, when required.
Experience managing remote teams and successfully fostering a culture of engagement and cohesion.
