About The Position

The Human Resources Director serves as a strategic partner to the VP of People & Culture, providing comprehensive HR leadership and support across all functional areas of the organization. This role is essential in driving HR excellence through the development and implementation of programs and initiatives in culture development, training and development, recruitment and talent acquisition, workforce management, employee relations, and benefits design and administration. The Director will work collaboratively with leadership teams across Come and See Foundation to ensure HR strategies align with organizational goals and support our global mission. This position requires an experienced HR professional who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, partnering closely with the VP of People & Culture and HR Partner to deliver exceptional employee experiences.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment law with demonstrated ability to apply knowledge in complex situations
  • Proven expertise across multiple HR functional areas including talent acquisition, employee relations, training and development and workforce planning
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with ability to translate organizational strategy into HR programs and initiatives
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build trust and credibility across all org levels
  • Demonstrated ability to influence an advise leaders on sensitive people matters
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and drive initiatives to completion
  • Experience designing and facilitating training programs, workshops, and development initiatives
  • Proficiency in recruitment strategy, candidate assessment, and interview techniques
  • Knowledge of benefit program design, administration, and compliance requirements
  • Understanding of organizational development and change management
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze HR metrics and present insights
  • Comfortable working in a faith-based environment and representing Christian values in professional conduct
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining strong collaboration with team
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, mission driven organization
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems, and Office 365
  • Experience with a distributed/remote workforce management and supporting global teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the VP of People & Culture to develop and execute HR strategies that support organizational objectives and ministry mission
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to department leaders on all HR matters, providing guidance on people management, organizational development, and team effectiveness
  • Lead cross-functional HR initiatives and projects that enhance organizational capabilities and employee engagement
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify organizational needs and develop HR solutions that drive performance and mission impact
  • Design and implement culture-building programs and initiatives that reinforce Come and See’s mission, vision, and values
  • Lead employee engagement efforts including surveys, focus groups, and action planning to enhance employee experience
  • Develop and facilitate programs that strengthen team cohesion, collaboration, and connection across distributed teams
  • Assess organizational training needs and develop comprehensive learning and development programs for all staff levels
  • Design and deliver leadership development programs, manager trainings, and professional development pathways
  • Create onboarding and orientation programs that effectively integrate new team members into Come and See culture
  • Partner with department leaders to identify skill gaps and create targeted development solutions
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts across the organization
  • Develop recruitment strategies and practices that build and maintain healthy candidate pipelines
  • Create job descriptions, interview frameworks, and assessment tools that evaluate both technical competencies and cultural fit
  • Support recruitment marketing efforts including job postings, social media campaigns and employer branding initiatives
  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure efficient, effective, and mission aligned hiring practices
  • Assist VP of People & Culture in workforce planning, organizational design, job architecture, and reporting structure optimization
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive job descriptions and competency frameworks
  • Support performance management processes including goal setting, review cycles, and performance improvement planning
  • Support total compensation and salary benchmarking and analysis
  • Support managers in addressing performance issues and conducting difficult conversations with coaching and guidance
  • Analyze workforce data and metrics to identify trends and inform strategic decisions
  • Serve as a resource for employee relations matters, providing guidance on conflict resolution, workplace issues, and policy interpretation
  • Conduct workplace investigations as needed, ensuring fair, thorough, and legal compliant processes
  • Advise managers on corrective action, disciplinary processes, and termination decisions
  • Maintain awareness of employment law and ensure organizational compliance across all regional areas
  • Help support and ensure accurate and timely payroll data and benefits administration processing
  • Partner with VP of People & Culture on benefit strategy, program design, and vendor management, including CAS benefit broker
  • Support annual benefit enrollment processes and employee communication regarding payroll and benefit programs
  • Research benefit trends and best practices to recommend program enhancements
  • Collaborate with HR Partner on employee data and benefit administration and resolve escalated benefit issues
  • Assist with compliance activities and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with domestic (federal, state, and local) and international employment laws across all locations where staff are located
  • Maintain and update HR policies and procedures, employee handbook, and related documentation
  • Contribute to HR system optimization and process improvement initiatives
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
