About The Position

To assist with the daily operations of the Human Resources Office and to adhere to the guidelines established by the governing bodies.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in business process analysis and implementation of upgrades in operations leveraged by technology in Human Resources
  • Highly knowledgeable of the process and flow of Human Resources
  • Motivated, customer service-oriented individual with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to prioritize workload and assume responsibility for the work
  • Handle confidential matters professionally and exude the appropriate level
  • Sound judgment and maturity
  • Able to define problems and provide solutions; discern when to escalate issues

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree
  • Extensive knowledge of Human Resources systems and processes such as Ellucian Banner, Argos, LAGov, NeoGov, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the LaGov state system which includes setting up new employees and maintaining current employees for the university in the system
  • Creatingnewpositionsandmaintainingcurrentpositions
  • Data entry actions concerning employees at the University including hiring, appointmenttypes,salaryadjustments,promotions,transfers,separations,etc. within the 30-day timeframe; running reports from the system as needed
  • Postallfacultyandunclassifiedpositionsinthesystemandexternalsources; running all reports in the system
  • Trainend-usersonthesystemprograms;adding/deletingofemployees
  • Provide technical support to applicants, supervisors, staff, etc.; notify departmentheadsofinformationconcerningtheirposting(i.e.guestuser information, missing documents needed)
  • Communicatewithrepresentativesconcerningissuesinthesystem;notify applicants through email the status of the application as requested
  • Maintainingjobdescriptionsinthesystem
  • MaintainLACareers/NeoGovsystemwhichincludessettingupallclassified positions for posting per required State Civil Service (SCS) guidelines
  • Data entry information regarding interviews into the system which includes applicant,dateandtimeofinterview;dateemploymentwasofferedanddate the position accepted
  • Setupnewemployeefilefolders
  • MaintaintheelectronicsubmissionofGSUseparationsnotices(FormLW77)to the Louisiana Workforce Commission Adjudication Support Unit
  • EntertheLaGovpersonnelnumberintheBannersystem
  • ProcessLouisianaStateCivilService(SCS)DepartmentPreferredReemployment List (DPRL) on classified positions being filled
  • Assist the Manager of Talent Acquisition & Recruitment with search committees
  • Perform other duties as assigned
