CONDUCT DAY TO DAY OPERATION OF THE HOTEL HUMAN RESOURCE DEPARTMENT WHICH INCLUDES BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Creating a positive environment focusing on associate recognition, greet and communicate effectively in a timely fashion with internal and external guests to the Human Resource department, assisting with hotel brand training to foster positive attitudes towards company culture and goals, coordination of company benefits enrollment process, respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, programs and escalating associate concerns and issues.

  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Ability to verbally communicate effectively with guests and co-workers.
  • Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure “5-second approach” is met for all “visitors” to Human Resources.
  • Create or update Human Resource bulletin boards and other posting locations as needed.
  • Assist with employee relations events and recognition, as needed, e.g. Rising Star program, Birthday/Anniversary Awards program, hotel brand required meetings, etc.
  • Explain elements of various benefits to associates as required.
  • Assist with distribution of enrollment forms. Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision insurance, Life and Disability insurance, Flexible Spending accounts, Tuition Assistance, 401k and Paid Time Off.
  • Assist with filing and monitoring Worker Compensation claims. Alert Human Resource Director of any associate’s modified work duties.
  • Prepare department correspondence and memos as needed.
  • Maintain accurate files. Assists with the filing of associate paperwork.
  • Schedule and hold orientation sessions for new hires and prepare necessary paperwork.
  • Generate monthly reports (organizational charts, floor plans, staff phone list, etc.);
  • Posting accurate job descriptions, screening resumes, scheduling interviews and managing candidate emails.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including i-9 verification.
  • Tracking inventory and ordering Supplied for HR office.
