About The Position

Phoenix Home Care & Hospice is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our Springfield team. This role plays an important part in supporting the hiring and onboarding process while helping ensure new employees feel welcomed and prepared from day one. As an HR Coordinator, you will assist with onboarding, background checks, orientation, and general HR administrative support. You will work closely with both office staff and field employees while helping maintain organized records and a smooth hiring process. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build experience in Human Resources while working in a fast paced and supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Previous HR or administrative experience preferred
  • Minimum of one year of HR, recruiting, or office support experience helpful
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Comfort working with Microsoft Office and computer systems
  • Professional, positive, and team oriented attitude
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM CP or PHR certification is a plus but not required.
  • Home care or healthcare experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Process and verify new hire paperwork and maintain accurate employee records
  • Complete background checks and required screenings for new hires
  • Lead and coordinate weekly orientation for new team members
  • Provide daily administrative HR support including data entry, filing, and documentation
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees with general HR questions
  • Support the HR team with special projects and administrative tasks
  • Help create a professional and welcoming experience for all new employees
