This position will serve as the primary point of coordination for Human Resources-related functions within Austin Homeless Strategies and Operations. Key responsibilities include managing recruitment and hiring for new and vacant positions, onboarding of staff, and coordinating with the City’s Human Resources Department to ensure compliance with personnel policies and procedures. The position will also advise managers on employee relations matters, support performance management processes, assist with workforce planning, and help develop internal Human Resources processes to support a growing department. These responsibilities require knowledge of Human Resources policies and practices and involve independent judgment in interpreting and applying City Human Resources guidelines.
