About The Position

The Human Resources Coordinator performs a variety of high-level technical duties and provides assistance to prospective and current personnel. This role is responsible for the oversight of certified personnel processes, including recruitment, screening, and processing, while maintaining complex personnel files, records, and reports. The Coordinator serves as a key data lead for the department, managing state reporting, compensation data, and compliance processes such as FMLA and ADA. REPORTS TO : Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an administrative function within a human resources department is required.
  • Strong technical knowledge, including Google Suite and HRIS software.
  • Advanced organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret correspondence, reports, and legal documents for administrative purposes.
  • Strong proficiency in basic mathematical concepts.
  • High level of discretion and customer service skills
  • Ability to work with a team

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2 years of human resources experience in a K-12 educational setting is preferred.
  • Certification in Human Resources or Education is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in an administrative support role within an educational environment preferred; experience using Frontline Education, TalentEd, Google Suite, PowerSchool, BoardDocs, and DESE web applications is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Data Management & Reporting: Performs high-level data entry and maintenance for DESE Core Data (August, October, and June cycles). Responds to external surveys with district human resources data and prepares comprehensive reports, including turnover and service years reports.
  • Certified Personnel Lifecycle: Manages the certified hiring process, including postings and onboarding. Prepares employee contracts, worksheets, and necessary paperwork for Board of Education approval and certified board reports.
  • Certification & Tenure Tracking: Tracks and maintains certifications for all staff. Maintains the teacher degree database and manages tenure tracking and National Board Certification processes.
  • Compensation & Market Research: Conducts market research and compensation studies to ensure competitive district positioning. Processes channel changes and salary advancements twice a year.
  • Compliance & Leaves: Facilitates the FMLA and ADA interactive processes. Manages Professional Responsibility Committee (PRC) responsibilities and ensures adherence to established procedures and regulations.
  • Documentation & Specialized Projects: contributes to the creation and review of employee handbooks and maintains updated certified job descriptions. Maintains the "Master at a Glance" staff schedule/sheet. Monitors points (FTE) to ensure fiscal responsibility. Assists with preparation of reports as needed.
  • Employee Relations: Conducts employee exit meetings and compiles data from exit surveys to identify trends. Assists hiring managers with performance evaluations within the management system.
